This is a movie title sequence for José Emilio Pacheco's book "Battles in the Desert". The book tells a story about how a young man named Carlos encounters social and political changes.

Carlos narrates his own experiences during his childhood when social and political problems are happening. The time period is during the regime (1946 – 1952) of the government of Miguel Aleman.

In this title sequence I used sound, color, typography and other visual effects to capture the mood of the book.
